Globalisation Is The Reason Why Apple Can't Escape Samsung
It's no secret that Apple and Samsung aren't the best of friends. The two tech behemoths have been, and still are, fighting very intense courtroom battles across the world, primarily over patents. A new battle now has emerged from the companies' fierce rivalry, this time relating to components and parts in the supply chain.
Relatively recent rumours will that Apple is planning on ditching Samsung, who are producing displays for the iPhone and iPad, from its list of suppliers. But even if Apple decides to follow through in a strategic move to not support its biggest rival, the US tech giant will be unlikely to escape Samsung completely. In fact, Apple could end up shooting itself in the foot if the move were to become reality. The reason? Globalisation.

Standardisation of Mobile Technologies Will Increase Mobile Ad Spend in Western Europe
Investments in the mobile ad format are still trailing the actual traffic mobile devices generate. According to eMarketer, there will be spent nearly $3 billion on mobile advertising in Western Europe this year - a figure that equates to somewhere between 6%-7% of total digital marketing ad spend, meanwhile mobile traffic exceeds 10% in many Western European countries.
A reason for this is that mobile advertising is still primarily being pushed forward by megabrands that can afford the move into fully-fledged m-solutions and buy the necessary talent to ensure its success. However, a standardisation of mobile ad formats and technologies is currently taking place and will help the channel reach the level of advertiser interest that it deserves.

Yandex.Money Announces Partnership with Skrill
Today, Yandex.Money announced a partnership with Skrill, one of Europe's leading online payment providers. For online stores that have Russia and CIS on their radar this is good news, as it essentially allows for quicker and easier access to the region's exponentially growing ecommerce sector.
Yandex.Money is Russia's most well-known electronic payment service, according to TNS, and is already used by some of the internet's most popular services, such as Skype, Facebook and McAfee.
